RWD Toyota

Toyota AE86

For handling and proper vehicle dynamics, rear-wheel drive, simple, and lightweight. For affordability, reliability, and ease of maintenance, Toyotas. Particularly the AE86, also known as the 1985-1987 Corolla GT-S.

I now also own a third Toyota Corolla GT-S! It started life as an SR5 and was a commuter for grandma for a long time. It was then built into a Production Class SR5 rally car. After some good results and some controversy, the car moved to Group 2, and was then further modified to take better advantage of the Group 2 rules. Part of this process was most of a GT-S swap. The previous owner built one hell of a 4A-G for it, got a couple of events on the car (or maybe only one) in the new form, and then rolled it. I picked it up for a very fair price and have plans to repair the crash damage, complete the GT-S conversion and tuning, and use it for rallycross and then my eventual stage rally debut!

Picture of the rally car when I picked it up.
