Rallycross Photos-2007

Hillsboro in March-As always, the opening event of the year was a mudfest, with the 2WD cars having serious traction challenges. The morning sessions were almost a joke, but it started to tack up a little bit by afternoon and we got these beautiful clouds. The course was very rutted by the time we ran in the last session, which makes for some challenges in choosing a line, and made for a few anxious moments if intended to avoid the rut, but ended up slipping into it...especially if you slipped into it sideways!

Hillsboro in March-I was kind enough to share my car with my buddy Patrick because his car isn't ready; sure, he is competing against me in Modified 2WD, but he is also my neighbor, so I cut him a break. I ended up beating him by a grand total of 0.38 seconds COMBINED TIME over the three scored runs! This is Patrick behind the wheel, and you can see that he wasn't shy about utilizing all of what the Corolla has to get around the course. The plan is to have my rally car out there at the next event, and he hopes to have his Volvo ready...bring it on!
