AE86 and Friends Northwest Meet
Portland, OR-August 9, 2003
The latest Oregon AE86 Meet was a success!

The lineup when I arrived at the park.

It took us a little while to find each other in the picnic area, but the cars weren't hard to miss.

StarSharkII

More SSII

Sakura rims

Custom drop-vent hood.

Pictures don't truly convey how striking this coupe is in person.

AW11 in with the AE86's.

Talking at the BBQ pit. Randoramma tries to explain the subtle nuances of MR handling, but it looks like it was pretty hard sell.

The hungry masses patiently awaiting the burgers.

StarShark gives some inside tips on style and everyone listens in.

Jason's new hatchback project in front of his coupe.

The lineup after lunch.

Rumor has it that AenimA failed the parking section of his driver's test.

Another view of Jason's hatch before it left. Hard to believe that this car was rescued from the junkyard!

Can you tell which car was my favorite?

SSII parked next to my car. Check my new carbon hood, just installed the day before the meet.

AenimA's hatchback...note the 15-inch wheels and AE92 sideskirts.

Looking pretty good!

After the drive up the mountain. Most of us got pretty hot climbing up the twisties.

Reliving the more exciting moments of the climb.

My hatchback at rest. I don't think of myself as a fast driver, but I may need to rethink....

AenimA and I had a fun fast climb, with his red hatch right behind my own.

Kevin's car rocking the OEM steelies. Am I weird for thinking these rims are cool?

The Shark trying to breathe.

Vincent's NWSR coupe. Note the offest of the Supra rims!

Phuc's blue hatch.

Momonari's coupe. You wouldn't know it, but this car has some custom touches under the sheetmetal.

Pergatory.

The Light.

Randoramma in the lone MR2.

Marco's GT-S conversion.

Jason's coupe. Pretty clean,huh?

The venerable 4A-GE.

AenimA's engine bay.

The view from the top of the mountain.

Looking up the Columbia Gorge.

The Tacoma driver who took these pics seemed amused.

The whole crew at the top!

The Light shares his excitement about our driving route.

Corolla squadron almost ready for the return flight.

Along the way we met up with Fragile Project. Too bad you can't see the paint better in this pic.

Garbage disposal?

Nah...it is just a custom cold-air intake.
