California Trip-24 Hours of Lemons-Walk the Track
December, 2007-January, 2008
The 24 Hours of LeMons used the shortest configuration of the East Loop at Thunderhill. Before the race started we had a chance to walk the track.

Looking backwards up the front straight...the cars would be coming towards the camera here, and through the second chicane maade of tires.

Uphill turn one sweeper. Our car wasn't super-fast down the straight, but we were able to carry a ton of speed through one and two.

Exiting turn one into the short chute to two over the crest of the hill.

Slight downhill into two, which was very long (like 180 degrees) and sweeping, but slightly decreasing in radius.

More of an overall view of most of turn two...it seemed to have a little bit of camber.

Exit of two and back up over the hill again to three.

The very short chute out of two...three is to the right just over the crest.

Turn three from the top of the hill...it is off-camber!

Exit to three...our car did well through the back section here.

Turn four ahead, our drivers could pass on the outside of four or set it up there and pass up the hill out of four.

From turn four looking ahead.

Here the course squiggles up the hill to the right, then left at the top, then back to the right again on the way down the far side!

Totally blind approach!

This was a tight kink to the left, and right as the cars unweight, too.

Dropping away out of sight.

The bottom of the hill has some camber to catch you again if you get a little loose.

The remainder of the course back to the front straight.

Our course hung a left here at the cutoff...longer configurations would stay to the right for other events.

The turn back onto the front straight and the entrance to the pits.

First of two chicanes visible down the straight.

A look back to the steep twisty downhill.

The chicane; this is where we clipped the wall.

The front straight down towards the second chicane.
