Starting off the year with a bang...

Early 2006

What is the crowd anticipating?

Oh! That's what. Do you guys know how to operate that thing?

Can't beat a mix of booze and explosions!

No....we weren't drinking....why do you ask?

Lonely...the best dog in the world. A bit hairy, though.

Work on the rally car gets off to a start. Gotta love cleaning up a zillion shards of broken glass!

Work on the liftback gets down to the important stuff.

Watch those fumes and fiberglass dust. But at least it will keep me on the road, right?

Junkyard score! And it wasn't even raining that hard. Hopefully these spares won't give me an excuse to break the rally car!

What better Corolla parts hauler than a Corolla?

My friend Jason's '73 Corolla 2-door wagon. The coolest ride I've had in a while. You should have seen the office at the junkyard empty out to check us out when we pulled up!

The next sign that the world of contemporary cycling is nigh...

I wouldn't be caught dead riding one of these chopper bicycles, let alone one with a cupholder, but...if this is what it takes to get America out of their cars on occasion...

Work gets interesting again.

I like playing photographer!

I could get used to this!

Nice day for a ride! This is almost directly opposite the view of the downtown skyline I see from my neighborhood, the same distance in the other direction. Industrial Swan Island below.

I was hauling bike parts by bike to the frame builder. Here is my bike awaiting more work in his shop.

The framebuilder is right underneath the historic and recently rennovated St John's Bridge at the very North end of Portland.
